Bishop Machebeuf has hired former CU player Robert Dobbins as its next head football coach.
?We?re real excited about it,? said Matt Santangelo, Machebeuf?s athletic director.
Dobbins played for the Buffs under Bill McCartney in 1990 and 1991.
He was head coach at Adams City from 2008-11 and has been an assistant at Montbello, Denver East. Dobbins has also coached youth teams in Arvada and Commerce City.
Dobbins replaces Kevin McGinty, who was 18-22 in four seasons. Machebeuf, a Class 2A program, went 5-4 in 2012, and last made the postseason in 2010.
