SALARY:
$36,265 ? $47,144 based on candidate?s experience, education, and the state budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master?s Degree in Library and Information studies from a regionally accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of instructional experience.
- Knowledge of technologies; specifically consumer and educational technologies.
- Experience in an academic library.
- Skill in the use of computers and commitment to using technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with others.
- Ability to provide leadership in anticipating and responding to change.
- Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to service.
DUTIES:
The Reference and Instructional Librarian reports to the Director of Library Services and is an active member of the Library Services team, modeling and providing exemplary customer service, library instruction, and reference assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement online and face-to-face instruction in support of Library Services, the professional development of the campus community, and faculty information literacy efforts.
- Assist in design and implementation of tools that measure services and instructional effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison to faculty for library services.
- Create digital and physical learning objects that communicate library procedures and policies.
- Provide online and in-person reference and research assistance.
- Provide technical support all circulating library technology.
- Serve as Reference Team leader and supervise all Reference staff.
- Perform leadership and management duties in the absence of the Director.
- Provide resources and assistance to promote student success.
- Promote College vision and values.
- Participate in College committees and activities.
- Provide general assistance with all areas of the library as needed.
