In the Design Studio visitors can learn how to manipulate photos, illustrations, text and symbols using Photoshop. They can make a self-portrait or design an album cover using original images, which can be printed out and taken home.

The Community Lab showcases an artist-in-residence experience, and the current presentation is called ?Creatura?. Children can curl up on a bean bag and play around with a series of iPads found on speckled toadstools. Finger painting motion is used to move and enlarge creatures that are also projected in surround-vision on the walls above them.

Stop-motion is learnt in the Animation Studio,?where children can build characters out of wire and clay, choose scenery and film their own movie, which can be captured on DVD to take home or sent to you via email.

Children can choose from 2,000 songs in the Music Studio where they can dress up in costume and perform on stage. Their performance can be turned into a DVD and taken home to share and impress family and friends.

PFT: McKinnie will report to Ravens camp Monday

Father-and-Son

With defensive coordinator Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely and no other person holding the title even on an interim basis and with the Rams putting on the pads Sunday for the first time in the Jeff Fisher era, an important question remains.

Who?s running the defense?

The coaching staff has three men who have held the ?defensive coordinator? title at the NFL level:? Fisher, assistant head coach Dave McGinnis, and secondary coach Chuck Cecil.

But the defense being installed is the Gregg Williams defense.? So who?s in best position to actually implement it?

It?s possibly linebackers coach Blake Williams.? As in the son of Gregg Williams.

Linebacker James Laurinaitis recently explained that, to date, it?s been a committee approach when it comes to coaching the defense.? But the only coach Laurinaitis mentioned by name was Blake Williams.

?A different [day] in practice it?ll be a different guy calling the plays,? Laurinaitis told 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, via SportsRadioInterviews.com.? ?We have Blake Williams, Gregg Williams? son, and he kind of grew up in this defense.? It?s safe to say that on some of the modifications of Gregg Williams? defense over the years has been because of Blake and his intelligence.?

And here?s where a cynic would wonder, as some in league circles have, whether Blake Williams will be serving as a surrogate for Gregg Williams in 2012.? Yeah, Gregg Williams is suspended and he can?t talk to anyone from the team.? But he surely can talk to his own son ? and unless the league office will be monitoring those communications, Gregg Williams can share thoughts with his son regarding how his son is doing his job.

In theory, father and son also can get together from time to time.? Dinner, for example, once or twice a week.? Absent supervision from 345 Park Avenue, what?s to keep them from working to put together a game plan for the upcoming game?

We?re not saying it will happen.? And we take no position on whether it would be justified by the league?s arguable overreaction to the Saints? pay-for-performance system.

The point is that, with no one identified as the interim defensive coordinator and with the son of the defensive coordinator on the coaching staff, the Rams (if everyone is discreet) can still find a way to get the benefit of Gregg Williams? insights, ideas, and strategies.

Lochte beats Phelps in 1st Olympic showdown

(AP) ? Is it a changing of the guard at the pool or a wake-up call for one of the most decorated Olympians ever?

Ryan Lochte thrashed Michael Phelps by more than 4 seconds in their first showdown of the London Games. Even more stunning: The 14-time gold medalist didn't win any medal for the first time since he was a scrawny 15-year-old competing in just one event at the 2000 Sydney Games.

"It's just really frustrating to start off on a bad note like this," Phelps said.

Lochte wasn't ready to throw Phelps on the scrap heap after he thoroughly dominated the 400-meter individual medley on the opening night of the eight-day swimming competition Saturday.

"The next races that he's in, he's going to light it up," Lochte said.

Lochte predicted that this would be his year, and on the first night of competition, appeared poised to make good on that promise. Phelps looked little like the swimmer he did four years ago when he won a record eight golds and eclipsed Mark Spitz's record, barely squeaking into the final and struggling to pull himself from the pool afterward.

Lochte savored his moment, popping in his grillz ? diamond studded mouth jewelry ? to accept his gold medal. But atop the podium, something felt different.

"It's weird not having Michael next to me," he said. "Michael to me is still one of the world's greatest and no matter what happens he'll go down as one of the world's greatest."

Phelps is planning to retire as soon as he finishes the last of his seven races in London. Before Saturday, he was 16-of-16 when it came to winning medals at the Olympics ? 14 golds and two bronzes ? since finishing fifth in the 200 butterfly in Sydney. He has plenty more chances to bring home medals from London. But the race was not the way he'd hoped to start off.

Phelps tossed in a real clunker in the 400 IM, a grueling event in which he was trying to become the first male swimmer to win the same individual event at three straight Olympics.

Instead, he fell behind right from the start in the butterfly, his trademark stroke. From there, it was all Lochte. He stretched his margin in the backstroke and breaststroke, then cruised to the gold in the freestyle, a good three body lengths ahead of the rest of the field.

Lochte touched in 4 minutes, 5.18 seconds to win with U.S. first lady Michelle Obama watching from the stands. Brazil's Thiago Pereira took the silver (4:08.86) and Japan's Kosuke Hagino (4:08.94) earned the bronze.

Phelps finished fourth in 4:09.28 ? nearly 5 1/2 seconds off his world record from Beijing and not even as fast as he went during last month's U.S. trials.

"It was just a crappy race," he said. "It's pretty upsetting. The biggest thing now is to try to look forward. I have a bunch of other races and hopefully we can finish a lot better than how we started."

"He said it was horrible. It was," Phelps' coach Bob Bowman said. "He accurately assessed it."

Phelps has three more individual events in London, and likely all three relays. He remains two behind the most medals won by any Olympian, Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, who won 18.

Elizabeth Beisel, who earned a silver in the women's 400 IM, noticed the difference in Phelps from four years ago. "But Michael is still Michael Phelps and nobody can take that away from him," she said.

If anything, the race proved Phelps is human after all.

"He's just like all of us," Lochte said.

Phelps and Lochte have one more showdown in London, in the 200 individual medley. The friendly rivals are likely to team up Sunday in the 4x100 freestyle relay. The exact lineup of the U.S. team was yet to be determined, but Lochte and Phelps have put themselves in the mix of candidates to swim the event in which Australia is heavily favored.

Outside of the Phelps-Lochte duel, China made a splash with two gold medals. Sixteen-year-old Ye Shiwen set a world record in the women's 400 IM ? only the third mark to fall since high-tech bodysuits were banned at the end of 2009. She won in 4:28.43, breaking the mark of 4:29.45 by Australia's Stephanie Rice in Beijing. China's Li Xuanxu took the bronze.

Sun Yang flirted with a world record in the men's 400 freestyle. He took gold in 3:40.14, just missing the world mark set by Germany's Paul Biedermann in a rubberized suit three years ago. South Korea's Park Tae-hwan won silver in 3:42.06 after initially being disqualified for a false start in the prelims. That ruling was overturned by governing body FINA a couple of hours later on appeal. Peter Vanderkaay of the U.S. won the bronze.

Australia captured gold in the women's 400 freestyle relay with an Olympic record of 3:33.15, rallying to pass the Americans and hold off the fast-charging Netherlands.

The U.S. got off to a blistering start with Missy Franklin swimming leadoff under world-record pace, and the Americans were still ahead after Jessica Hardy went next. But the Australians rallied behind Brittany Elmslie on the third 100, and Melanie Schlanger held on at the end, with Ranomi Kromowidjojo closing fast to give the Netherlands a silver in 3:33.79.

The other members of the winning team were Alicia Coutts and Cate Campbell.

The Americans slipped to the bronze in 3:34.24, but that was still good enough to give Natalie Coughlin the 12th medal of her career, tying Dara Torres and Jenny Thompson as the most decorated U.S. female Olympians in any sport.

Coughlin swam in the morning prelims, then was reduced to the role of cheerleader in the evening as the Americans went with Franklin, Hardy, Lia Neal and Allison Schmitt.

"I really have no idea what to think of it so far," Coughlin said. "I'll have to take it all in tonight. I'm very proud of it, but I've never been on a morning relay before."

VOIP and Highlighting Wifi Security | CCCPA

wlan for freeThe introduction of VOIP (Voice/Video Over Internet Protocol) based business phone systems has helped highlight many issues of Internet security and communication protection for businessowners and managers alike. These issues were in existence before VOIP telephone systems. VOIP communications has raised our attention to Wifi security, and this is a very good thing. In this article, we take a look at Internet security issues focusing on Wifi, and VOIP communication systems.

VOIP Security

The best thing about VOIP communication applications is that developers are very aware of the problems related to security. Security is an important issue for any company choosing VOIP communication. A VOIP application can replace our email, file transfer, telephone calling and other communication tools. Using the Internet to make calls and video calls is only one element of an application today.

VOIP was developed to convert analogue signals (our speech as transmitted with normal telephone lines) into digital signals. Once we have a digital signal (data), we can use the Internet to transfer that information. That was the job of the original VOIP application.

From that, software developers have added those other applications, such as email, file transfer tools and the like. In the early days, these were separate and innovative applications. Now we can integrate them easily into a single application ? and a whole lot more.

Encryption

Internet options depend on your region. ADSL is the most common high-speed Internet, and it is sold as a broadband connection. It is not a true broadband connection. ADSL uses traditional telephone networks by forcing data down the connection. A true broadband connection will incorporate an outside connection other than a traditional telephone line.

There is nothing like having a real high-speed Internet connection. In the big cities of mainland China, for example, a company will pay for real high-speed broadband connections, and the speeds are amazing. WebPages for instance, will load in the blink of an eye. Talk to suppliers in your region and look at the options available for business. Business Internet options are normally much broader than we are aware of. ADSL is just the connection we get as standard when we are connecting Internet to our office.

Finally, do not forget about having a second option for connection. 3g Wifi is an excellent second option for your Internet. If all else fails for one reason or another, you can use the mobile network of your region to keep you online until normality is restored.

Office Network

Essentially, business systems work best with cabled networks. This is because cable is still more stable when compared with the general level of Wifi setups. If you have a strong Wifi setup in your office, Wifi is an excellent option because you can move your devices around freely.

Setting up a strong Wifi is not difficult. All you need is a strong broadcasting router. These are available online, and push out stronger Wifi signals than the regular Wifi routers for home use. If you are using cables, your office network connections should be strong, and your cables should be laid out cleanly, avoiding power cables (including those running through the walls, and any other electro-magnetic influences).

Wifi broadcasting devices should be set away from interference, and be set high in your office ? this will give them clear broadcasting ability. Wifi can penetrate many surfaces, including concrete, but it struggles with glass, for example, because the Wifi signals bounce off the glass. Summing up, a clean office network with strong signals is what?s required.

If you have these foundations of good Internet, you are ready for VOIP. A vendor?s system, will either supply you with their system directly over the Internet through their own dedicated servers, or they will work with a server (or for older servers, a terminal emulator) in your own office. You can have the application running on your own server, or on a dedicated server, but whatever the case, you need your own internet connection, your own office power and your own network running fast and running ?cleanly? and smoothly ? all the time.

NATO: Afghan militant attacks up 11 percent

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) ? Insurgent attacks in Afghanistan during the past three months were up 11 percent, compared to the same period last year, according to the latest statistics on monthly violence released by the U.S.-led coalition.

The figures, which NATO released on Thursday, also show that the number of attacks in June was the highest for any month since fighting surged in the summer of 2010.

The disturbing uptick comes at a time when foreign troops are leaving and insurgents are trying to prove they remain a potent force. It also supports the theory that the insurgency remains undefeated after more than a decade of war, though coalition officials caution against using attack numbers as a bellwether of how the war is proceeding.

The number of "enemy-initiated attacks" ? such as roadside bombings and gunfire attacks from insurgents ? rose in all three months of the second quarter, compared with the same months in 2011. This follows 11 consecutive months where attacks were below the number reported in the same month the year before.

The coalition offered two possible reasons for the uptick. A shortened poppy harvesting season prompted insurgents to start their spring offensive earlier this year. Also, with more Afghan security forces on the ground and taking the lead in more operations, more of them are getting killed. There also has been more precise reporting of attacks against Afghan soldiers and police, which could also lead to the higher numbers, the coalition said.

In related statistics, 206 Afghan soldiers were killed from March 20 until June 20, according to the Afghan National Army. March 20 is the first day of the Afghan calendar. No comparable numbers could be obtained for 2011, and no current casualty figures from the Afghan National Police were immediately available.

Gen. John Allen, the top commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, has confirmed that Afghan police and army casualties were on the rise. He said the coalition was working with the Afghan security forces ? now 350,000 strong ? to find ways to minimize the deaths of their forces, mostly by roadside bombs known as improvised explosive devices.

"There are things that we're going to seek to do to try and reduce those casualties," Allen said in an interview earlier this week with The Associated Press. "It's everything from emphasizing to their non-commissioned officers and junior officers that they wear their helmets and their body armor ... to 'Don't overload your vehicles.'"

While the numbers of enemy-initiated attacks is on the rise, the number of U.S. and foreign troops killed in Afghanistan this year is running below last year.

So far this year, 254 NATO service members have been killed in Afghanistan. That compares with 323 killed in the first six months of last year, according to an AP tally.

There have been 39 foreign service members killed so far this month, including one NATO service member who died Friday in an insurgent attack in the east and two NATO service members who died Thursday in a roadside bombing on in southern Afghanistan. The deaths so far this month include at least 32 American service members ? more than have half killed in roadside bombings.

Coalition officials say the number of enemy-initiated attacks is only one metric of the war.

They said Afghan and coalition forces have been able to drive insurgents away from population centers and into more rural, less-populated, areas, forcing the militants to fight for remaining turf outside of the provincial capitals. Most of the fighting this summer is occurring in Naji-Saraj and other districts in Helmand and Kandahar provinces of southern Afghanistan where the Taliban have historically held sway.

"Nari-Saraj is one of those places ... where they (the Taliban) have probably been more or less left to their own devices for a long time," Australian Army Brig. Roger Noble, deputy to the deputy chief of staff for coalition operations, told reporters in a briefing earlier this month in Kabul. "They haven't been disrupted. We're now moving in there with the Afghan national security forces so it's now a fight for that little piece of that turf."

The provincial capital of Kandahar, which is the spiritual birthplace of the Taliban, is stable but more needs to be down to secure districts such as Panjwai and Zhari in Kandahar and Nari-Saraj and Baghran in neighboring Helmand, Allen said.

"We still have work to do there, but the ... numbers of people there are very small, relatively speaking," Allen said. "So the enemy's ability really to influence large parts of the population is much less than it was before."

Dane Cook Apologizes for Dark Knight Rises Joke, Being an Insensitive Moron

Dane Cook has apologized for being an insensitive jerk bag.

On Thursday night, the unfunny stand-up comedian joked that people inside the Aurora, Colorado movie theater last week were probably wishing they'd be shot because The Dark Knight Rises is such a bad movie.

Shockingly, anyone with an ounce of sympathy and intelligence came down hard on Cook, prompting him to write the following on Twitter:

I am devastated by the recent tragedy in Colorado & did not mean to make light of what happened.

I made a bad judgment call with my material last night & regret making a joke at such a sensitive time. My heart goes out to all of the families & friends of the victims.

And, with that, let's hope the controversy goes away. Along with Cook.

entertainment news uk: User:LampeFavela373 - LinuxCoin Wiki

From LinuxCoin Wiki

Barbara Rose Brooker has written a romantic novel that may mostly get lucky and people associated with a age. The interesting thing is that her lovers are within their 70s. They contain the usual struggles Cialis while using dynamics of relationships, nonetheless they bring a lot more baggage from other relationships along with health concerns and end of life issues. The tendency with the public is always to want to see people within their 70s as beyond romance and relationship issues. As Baby Boomers age into their 60s, more plus much more of the public are learning to view elderly people just how Barbara Rose Brooker portrays them.

The protagonists are Anny and Marv. Each is a veteran internet dater and they also meet through JDate. Anny violates all the principles of internet dating safety by meeting him in a bar and then getting into his car and going to his place on the first date. He begins Cialis kissing her and, not surprisingly, asks for sex right from the bat. She negotiates this mine field and happens safely, reaching the conclusion that Marv Cialis just isn't for her.

"Obviously, Marv's not relationship material. He's into image, money - Cialis not to mention he's still for each other regarding his ex-wife. He's a cliche, living on his past glamour. Anyway, I prefer professorial types. And haven't I'd enough with emotionally unavailable men? Relationships which go nowhere? Am I yet again attracted with a man I don't like?" (p. 7)

We hear many times that Marv is emotionally unavailable. When he is after sex, he or she is charming and attentive. After sex, there's no emotional warmth left over because he wants the woman to hurry away and make certain to consider everything she brought with her. Also, he lies about his involvement with other women, denying he is entangled together with his ex-wife though her watch can be found as part of his bed and denying that they continues to be participating in JDate despite the actual fact that Anny can carry on JDate and tell which he is immediately looking for other women right after they had sex together.

Needless to say, Anny has a torrid affair with Marv and experiences emotional conflict the time these are together. She writes a column and begins to make use of Marv as material. She writes "a series of columns about an emotionally unavailable, shallow seventy-five-year-old man who cannot face age Cialis and it is always on the prowl for any young, gorgeous,, and ideal woman, that will cause him to feel young and powerful." (p. 13) Her desire to end the connection with Marv conflicts with your ex wish to make use of him for material, on her column becomes a fantastic success as an outcome of her series on Marv and she or he needs him for more material.

This novel needs to get read. It is written with a woman in her 70s with relation to a couple of their 70s. It deals with problems that Baby Boomers are beginning to confront. Yes, people within their 70s are employing online dating quite successfully. Yes, people of their 70s can still be sexually active and continue to be searching for satisfying relationships. Healthy people within their 70s are living life at full stride and not necessarily winding down. Barbara Rose Brooker's picture of life for folks within their 70s Cialis is necessary for our graying society.

aurora victims health insurance | Breaking News for Black America

Aurora Victims health insuranceDENVER ? Some of the victims fighting for their lives after being wounded in the movie-theater shooting rampage may face another challenge when they get out of the hospital: enormous medical bills without the benefit of health insurance.

SEE ALSO: James Holmes Inspires Copycats In Increased Colorado Gun Sales?

Members of the public, along with Warner Bros., the studio that released the Batman movie ?The Dark Knight Rises,? have contributed nearly $2 million to help victims, though it?s not clear how much of that will cover medical expenses. One family is raising money on its own online.

And three of the five hospitals treating victims said Wednesday they will limit or completely wipe out medical bills.

Some of the victims, however, still face a long recovery ahead and the associated Aurora Victims health insurancemedical costs ? without health insurance. There?s no exact count of how many of them don?t have insurance but statistics suggest many of them might not be covered.

Nearly one in three Coloradans, or about 1.5 million, either have no health insurance or have coverage that is inadequate, according to a 2011 report by The Colorado Trust, a health care advocacy group.

The highest uninsured rate was among adults between 18 and 34 and many of those injured in the shootings are in that age group.

State officials said they are not sure whether any of the victims qualify for emergency Medicaid assistance available to needy patients. Victims could also get financial assistance from a state program that helps people hurt during crimes, including lost wages and counseling.

Among the uninsured victims of the movie-theater attack is a 23-year-old aspiring comic, Caleb Medley, who is in critical condition with a head wound and whose wife, Katie (pictured above with baby), gave birth to their first child, Hugo, on Tuesday.

His family and friends said they have set a goal of raising $500,000 to cover his hospital bills and other expenses and were over halfway there on Wednesday.

?All the money that is donated is going straight to Caleb, Katie and Hugo to help them with medical bills, getting back on their feet, help with the baby items,? friend Michael West said. ?Anything and everything that they need.?

Children?s Hospital Colorado announced it would use donations and its charity care fund to cover the medical expenses of the uninsured. For those who do have insurance, the hospital says it will waive all co-pays.

?We are committed to supporting these families as they heal,? according to a statement from the hospital, which treated six shooting victims.

HealthOne, which owns the Medical Center of Aurora and Swedish Medical Center, also says it will limit or eliminate charges based on the individual circumstances of the patients. Those hospitals have treated 22 shooting victims. However, the company cautioned its policy may not apply to all doctors working in its hospitals.

The other two hospitals, Denver Health Medical Center and University of Colorado Hospital, where Medley is, wouldn?t directly say whether they would assist shooting victims. However, they are the state?s top two safety net hospitals and provided combined $750 million in free care in 2011.

Hospitals are required by federal law to stabilize patients during emergencies without regard to their ability to pay.

?The issue most probably facing the hospitals and patients in a situation like Aurora is what comes after `stabilization,?? said Dr. Howard Brody, director of the Institute for the Medical Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and a frequent critic of excessive medical costs.

?Many of these people I assume will need prolonged and expensive rehabilitation after their immediate injuries are dealt with, and that seems precisely what hospitals today are less and less willing to cover out of their own funds, and no law requires that they do so, as far as I am aware,? he said.

Medley is in a medically induced coma, but West said he has been showing signs of improvement, relying less on a ventilator to breathe. Medley?s wife, 21-year-old Katie Medley, gave birth on Tuesday, one floor above his room at University of Colorado Hospital.

Standup comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who has appeared on Comedy Central, planned to headline a Denver fundraiser for Medley next week.

The fundraising might actually make Medley ineligible for some income-related assistance. His family and all other victims are already meeting with victim advocates, the case workers who deal with people hurt during crimes. The advocates determine what services they need and what assistance they qualify for.

?We have individuals who will need a lifetime of care, or a lifetime of accommodation, and our job is to make sure those needs are met,? said Karla Maraccini, deputy director for community partnerships in the office of Gov. John Hickenlooper.

U.S. fears Syria preparing for massacre in Aleppo

AMMAN/BEIRUT (Reuters) - The United States said it feared a massacre in Aleppo after President Bashar al-Assad's forces launched ground and air bombardments in preparation for a major onslaught against rebels in Syria's commercial capital.

Insurgents targeted army roadblocks and security installations, with both sides avoiding close-quarters warfare in the northern city of 2.5 million people, Syria's biggest urban centre.

The U.S. State Department said credible reports of tank columns moving on Aleppo, along with air strikes by helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, represented a serious escalation of Assad's efforts to crush a rebellion that began 16 months ago.

"This is the concern: that we will see a massacre in Aleppo, and that's what the regime appears to be lining up for," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

Troops stationed on the outskirts of the city unleashed barrages of heavy-calibre mortar rounds on the western neighborhoods of Saladin, al-Sukkari and al-Fardos, while Russian-built MI-25 helicopter gunships struck al-Sakhour in the east with rockets, opposition activists in the city said.

The heavy fighting around Aleppo follows an audacious bomb attack that killed four of Assad's closest lieutenants in Damascus on July 18 and led some analysts to speculate that the government's grip was slipping.

RISING CASUALTIES

In the first reported casualty on Friday, a man of about 60 wearing a traditional white prayer outfit was killed near a park in Saladin. His body was placed in a mosque pending identification.

Thirty-four people were killed in and around Aleppo on Thursday, according to opposition activists.

"The rebels have so far been nimble, and civilians have mostly been the victims of the bombardment," said activist Abu Mohammad al-Halabi, speaking by phone from the city.

"There is lots of internal displacement, and schools have been turned to makeshift shelters that are packed. One shell hitting a school will result in a catastrophe," he said.

"The regime is massing troops and tanks at the entrances of Aleppo, but it seems it is for now content with bombarding the city, with the rebels constantly on the move."

Majed al-Nour, another activist, said rebels attacked a security outpost in the neighborhood of Bustan al-Joz, which is close to the Aleppo city centre, on Thursday.

"The rebels are present in the east and west of the city, and have a foothold in areas of the centre. The regime forces control the entrances of Aleppo and the main thoroughfares and commercial streets and are bombarding the residential districts that fell into rebel hands," he said.

Nour said tens of thousands of people had fled Aleppo to nearby northern rural regions close to Turkey from which the Syrian army has withdrawn in recent weeks to focus on urban areas where relatively lightly armed rebels have hunkered down.

With U.N. Security Council resolutions for sanctions against Syria vetoed by Russia and China for a third time last week, the United States has said it is stepping up assistance to Syria's fractured opposition, although it remains limited to non-lethal supplies such as communications gear and medical equipment.

Reuters has learned that the White House has crafted a presidential directive, called a "finding," that would authorize greater covert assistance for the rebels, while still stopping short of arming them.

It is not clear whether President Barack Obama has signed the document, and U.S. officials declined to comment on the finding, which is a highly classified authorization for covert activity.

UNITING THE OPPOSITION

A Syrian parliamentarian representing the northern province of Aleppo said on Friday she had defected to Turkey, becoming the first member of the rubberstamp assembly elected in May and dominated by President Bashar al-Assad's Baath Party to defect.

"I have crossed to Turkey and defected from this tyrannical regime ... because of the repression and savage torture against a nation demanding the minimum of rights," Ikhlas al-Badawi told Sky News Arabia.

One of the most senior figures to defect from Assad's inner circle, Brigadier General Manaf Tlas, has put himself forward as someone who could help unify the opposition inside and outside Syria on a plan for a transfer of power.

Tlas, speaking in a newspaper interview in the Saudi city of Jeddah, also said he was looking for support from Saudi Arabia and other powers. "I am discussing with ... people outside Syria to reach a consensus with those inside," Tlas told Thursday's edition of Asharq al-Awsat.

Tlas went on to Turkey and met Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. [ID:nL6E8IQNPT] Turkey, a former ally of Assad and now one of his fiercest critics, has a heavy strategic stake in shaping any post-Assad leadership in neighboring Syria.

Tlas appeared briefly with Davutoglu at an official guest house but made no statement.

Turkey closed its border posts with Syria on Wednesday to all traffic except Syrian refugees.

Russia, one of the few remaining allies of the authoritarian Assad, whose family has run Syria for 42 years, said calls for him to quit power were hindering efforts to end the conflict.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said such calls, led by the United States, Turkey and other Western and Arab nations, were fanning violence. He reiterated Moscow's contention that support for Syrian rebel groups was tantamount to backing terrorism.

Germany said Russian and Chinese backing for Syria was a big problem. "For this reason we urge them to recognize that the time of the Assad regime is over," Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle told German TV.

America's Got Talent Results: Who's Out?

Heading into an extended break for the Summer Olympics, America's Got Talent advanced four acts to the next round last night. Did you agree with the selections?

Saying Goodbye on America's Got Talent

Eliminations Part One - Ulysses, David "The Bullet" Smith, Olate Dogs
Ulysses is a nice person but he was clearly out of his league. If he was up against weird instrument player Michael Nejad and sleep-inducing Nikki Jensen back in week one, he wouldn't have been the bottom of the barrel.

David "The bullet" Smith is exactly like Professor Splash last year: all he can do is go farther. I understand that lots of people die trying to blast themselves out of cannons, but that doesn't make successful human cannonballs automatic Vegas acts. Olate Dogs was the clear frontrunner of the night, especially the "we can do better than Britain" comment that Sharon provided. Funny that Sharon is an American citizen.

Eliminated: Ulysses, David "The Bullet" Smith
Advanced: Olate Dogs

Eliminations Two - William Close, Unity in Motion, Sebastien "El Charro de Oro"
William Close was a great act, but his performances are a bit PBS for NBC if that makes sense. There's a degree of maturity or sophistication that I worry NBC-loving America doesn't have. Unity in Motion was clean and precise but they are also trained as hard as the dogs in the Olate act. Sebastien "El Charro De Oro" had a simplistic arrangement of his band and video behind him, but he didn't need explosives or seizure inducing videos. I find it odd how Sebastien gets to stand with his band, but William Close is alone the whole time.

Eliminated: Unity in Motion, Sebastien "El Charro de Oro"
Advanced: William Close

Eliminations Three - Joe Castillo, Horse, Eric & Olivia
After seeing Light Wire Theater make it through, I parallel Joe Castillo's act to the Silhouettes and Light Wire is Team iLuminate. I hope both current acts don't suffer the same fate and lose to Tim Hockenberry. Howard hit Horse's demographic on the head (or in the balls): Jackass viewers, Tosh.0 fans, or even G4 people. Most of those people are probably watching Wipeout or American Ninja Warrior and not this show. Eric & Olivia need to secure a gig at a fancy coffee shop and work their way up. The exposure will help them greatly, but they need time.

Eliminated: Horse, Eric & Olivia
Advanced: Joe Castillo

Eliminations Four - Lindsay Norton, All That!, Eric Diddleman
This was one of the few times where Nick actually announced some percentage numbers. That's the one thing that's amazing about Britain's Got Talent: they reveal all the voting percentages after the season ends. According to Nick, there was a less than one percent difference between all three acts. Lindsey Norton was just as good as Unity in Motion and with them already eliminated, it made me wonder if the two negated their votes. Interesting that America favored the solo dancer over the group though.

Eric Diddleman is in a category of his own and after Spencer Horseman scraped his elbow and Hawley Magic couldn't leave the 80s, Diddleman is the only hope for a "magic" act. I wouldn't mind seeing All That! if they took notes from Thunder From Down Under. They need to be sexier and the group claims to be happy with "all" their fans. Why not pander to the women and gay male vote?

Eliminated (in Sixth): Lindsay Norton
All That!'s Votes: Sharon
Eric Diddleman's Votes: Howie, Howard

Immediately after elimination, Sharon announced that All That! would be one of her picks for the Wild Card round. The YouTube acts will be up after the Olympics so we'll basically be on a month break and All That! could work on getting six-pack abs.

Keeping Long Distance Love Alive | MEET WOMAN | HOW TO ...

Is it possible to keep long distance love alive? Many people find this love hard to maintain. But all types of relationships are not also easy to maintain as they need one to be committed in maintaining them.

Long distance relationships have become more common nowadays as the Internet has brought folk together irrespective of how far partners are staying from one another.

It can be very tough and confusing times when you?re in a long distance relationship love. It takes much work for long distance relationships to function well when it comes to compromising, understanding and communicating.

Due to this folk think that long distance relationships don?t work. Although a large number of long distance relationships fail, it does not mean that yours will also fail if you get yourself into it. You can make yours to work if you put a little more effort and planning well.

There are numerous benefits of being in a long distance love which many people don?t realize. You will not waste time doubting your lover if you know how fortunate you are to have him/her willing to be in a relationship with you in spite of the distance.

Long distance relationship involves two folk sharing the same interest and that same interest is love. They care for one another that their love keeps on growing stronger in spite of the long distance between them.

Long distance love requires a special understanding and willingness because there are tests in such a relationship compared with other types of relationships. For instance cheating on girlfriend..

Distance is the most difficult thing for partners to deal with in a long distance relationship. But with Internet they can spend time together by playing cards or any other internet game. They can also use Skype to talk whatever they want.

Partners can also rent the same movie to watch when they have spare time. After watching it they can then talk about it over the phone. They can even buy electronic gifts like e-cards for each other. Therefore there are unlimited things that partners can do over the internet in enduring their long distance relationship.

Effective communication is one of the most important things when it comes to making long distance relationship work. Both of the partners should feel that they are an active part of each other?s life.

Feeling to be an active part of one another?s life is the best achievement towards having effective communication. Pictures, emails, web cams and letters can diminish distance but nothing of these substitutes the intimacy of hearing your spouse?s voice.

Since partners cannot be together physically, swapping photos will keep them in remembering how their partners look like. When you are feeling lonely the photos of your partner will remind you that you have someone special in your life.

Partners in the long distance love might find it hard to trust each other. This is because they are going to have a hard time in believing what folk gossip about their relationship and what they tell each about the same.

Long distance relationship is in danger when trust and honesty is lacking. There will be a strong long distance relationship if both partners are trustful and faithful.

Spain to struggle to fund 2012 debt crunch

MADRID (Reuters) - Regional debts, soaring borrowing costs, a higher deficit and souring market sentiment are all making it nearly impossible for Spain to find 50 billion euros in funding it needs by year end without external aid.

Madrid will need 10 billion euros more than expected at the start of the year to fund a softer deficit target agreed with the European Union, and 12 billion extra euros for a new liquidity line to highly indebted autonomous regions.

That raises the total funding requirements for the rest of the year to around 50 billion, squandering the advantage Spain had gained in the first half of the year by "frontloading" its funding at a time when the European Central Bank was giving banks cheap money to buy government debt.

Spanish officials had boasted that the second half of the year would not be difficult after they raised 59 billion worth of their expected 86 billion euro funding requirement in the first half of the year.

But the benefit has evaporated now that the Treasury needs to find extra funding to meet a deficit target revised to 6.3 percent of Gross Domestic Product from 5.3 percent, and provide the new cash for its rescue fund for the regions.

Spain's public finances have been a major concern for international investors since it missed deficit targets for last year by a wide margin. The crippled state of its banks and a second recession in three years, set to last well into next year, have made things worse.

The country's funding costs have reached new euro-era highs. On Tuesday, the 10-year paper was trading at 7.60 percent, well above the 7 percent level seen as unsustainable for public finances.

LIQUIDITY

The Treasury can use the cash it has in its coffers and short-term liquidity to repay 12.87 billion of debt maturing on July 30. A bigger test looms on October 29 and 31, with no less than 20.27 billion euros of debt maturing in two days.

Spain now has a liquidity buffer of 28.9 billion euros in cash. But that has been melting down rapidly in the last two months - from 44 billion euros in April and 40.3 billion euros in May.

July and October are also traditionally good months for the fiscal position of the country as taxes are being collected, but tax collection has been weak since the start of the year, down 5 percent compared to the same period last year.

If Spain cannot sell enough medium or long-term bonds, it can also kick the ball downfield by issuing short-term T-bills. But relying on short-term funding to finance long-term needs hardly removes the problem and comes at a mounting cost.

Spain placed 3 billion euros on Tuesday for which it paid the second highest yield on short-term paper since the birth of the euro.

The Treasury said earlier in the year it planned to issue 100 billion euros in short-term bills by year end, which it said it would use to soften its funding curve. It has so far tapped the short term bill market for 47 billion euros and needs to roll over around 35 billion by the end of the year.

FINDING BUYERS

So far, thanks in part to the European Central Bank's cheap money, the sharp increase in yields on Spain's debt in secondary markets has yet to raise its average funding costs, which remain on target and below those of previous years.

The average yield for Spanish debt was 3.27 percent at the end of June, compared to 3.90 percent one year earlier, the Economy Ministry said on Tuesday.

Keeping those costs affordable in future will require that Spain be able to find buyers for new bonds. Foreign buyers have stayed clear of the Spanish bond market for weeks, and persuading Spanish banks to buy their country's bonds has become increasingly difficult.

It will be even more difficult if the sovereign credit rating, currently one step away from junk territory, is downgraded any further.

"There are no international buyers. The small banks have no capacity to buy anymore, the big ones are just rolling over their paper and basically only the state-intervened banks are buying right now," said a senior debt analyst who asked to remain anonymous.

Nevertheless, he said Spain could still manage to fund itself for the year if it receives some kind of liquidity help.

One possible source of support could be the hundreds of billion euros still parked by banks at the ECB after they obtained around 1 trillion euros in cheap loans in December and February. If it was to be freed up, Spain could benefit greatly from it.

Another option would be a rescue line from the permanent European bailout fund in the form of primary or secondary market debt buying. But the European Stability Mechanism will not enter into force until September and, because it is only partly pre-funded, it lacks the firepower to fully shield Spain from markets.

"Until it gets all its capital, this is a one-bullet gun. So my guess is that the euro zone will wait until the last minute before it uses it in Spain, because if you miss the shot, you're dead," the analyst said. ($1 = 0.8253 euros)

About 66 million adult Americans perform an normal of 19 hours a week of caregiving duties for desired ones. Add that to a fulltime pursuit and a family, and we have about 30 percent of adults who skip an normal of 7 days of work a year to assistance with elderly care responsibilities. Before removing ragged out or frustrated, cruise these points to conduct your home caring responsibilities.

Talk to your employer. Many caregivers censor their home caring responsibilities from their employers, though employers will have a improved bargain of your resources and a use of your vacation and ill days if they know what we are facing. The Family and Medical Leave Act, entitles caregivers adult to 12 weeks of paid time off, and a Parental and Serious Illness Leave Policy, entitles caregivers adult to dual weeks of paid leave. Not all employers will be equally understanding, though taste opposite family caregivers is unlawful.

Ask about stretchable hours. If we can't take time off, ask your employer if we can work from home or change your work hours so we can accommodate your desired one?s home care needs.

Take time for yourself. While your time is stretched between work, caregiving and your possess family, make certain we spend during slightest a few mins a day usually for yourself. Take time to usually lay and relax, go for a run or review a book.

Take time for your family. Even if it is usually one cooking a week where we are all together, set aside time that we spend with usually your family. Be present; no work talk, no caregiving talk.

Put your health first. No, it is not selfish. If we are not well, how will we be means to take caring of anyone else?

Find support. Talk to your siblings or find a support organisation for elderly care providers. Other caregivers substantially knowledge a same highlight we do and reaching out could assistance we both.
